ZebGames suffered a catastrophic data loss.

We attempted to restore using our daily backup, but the backups were apparently truncated each time and thus corrupted. Next we contacted the developer of our billing system to attempt a partial restore from the corrupted backups, but they were unable to restore usable data.

Unfortunately, this has effectively put ZebGames out of business. We have kept the services online for the past month and a half without billing clients while attempting to get everything restored, hoping we could at least send an email to our client list about the issue.

We are very sadden by this issue and that we were not able to correct the problem or contact our customers to let them know about the issue. Our email database was also lost in the same data loss.

It was a great 8 years and we appreciated all of you. We hope you find a wonderful new hosting provider and wish you all the best.

What Do I do?

For Ventrilo Clients:
  1. Contact InstantVentrilo on their Live Chat
  2. Tell them you are a ZebGames customer and would like the free 30 day server
  3. Give them your zebgames username for the old ventrilo panel
  4. InstantVentrilo.com will install you a server with the same number of slots you had previously (Ventrilo,TeamSpeak 3 or Mumble) free for 30 days

The company we use for Ventrilo is http://www.instantventrilo.com/ we wanted to give you this information so you can contact them directly if you want to keep your service through them. Below is the response we have received from InstantVentrilo.

We are willing to offer your customers 30 days or free service of Ventrilo, TeamSpeak 3 or Mumble if they contact us. They will be required to migrate their services directly to our LightSpeed platform they would not be able to keep the same ip address. Tell them to refer to their existing username, ip address and port when contacting our support teams and we'll take care of them. They can contact us simply by using the Live Chat

For TeamSpeak Clients:
  1. Contact InstantTeamSpeak on their Live Chat
  2. Tell them you are a ZebGames customer and would like the free 30 day server
  3. Give them your zebgames ip address and port
  4. InstantTeamSpeak.com will install you a 15 slot server (Ventrilo,TeamSpeak 3 or Mumble) free for 30 days
Details:
We hosted TeamSpeak on our own machines so there is no way you can keep your current address or server information. We recommend setting up a new server at http://www.instantteamspeak.com/ free for 30 days.

For Mumble Clients:
  1. Contact Mumble.com on their Live Chat
  2. Tell them you are a ZebGames customer and would like the free 30 day server
  3. Mumble.com will install you a mumble server up to 100 slots free for 30 days
